The Commandment of Tithing

The Commandment of Tithing

Regarding the subject of tithing, God had much to say about it, as to the why, how, when and the purpose. However, the purpose or reason for the tithe is one of the most abused and twisted of God’s commandments. So, let us focus on this point of tithing.

For by the Lord’s command the tribe Levi was set aside unto the Lord to servw3e Him and His people in all His commandments. Of Which Aron was a leader and of which God called him to and his family to be the first priest of God. And unto this was the tithe of the Hebrews established to support God’s Priest and House for His work among the people.

Numbers 18:20-21 (KJV)
20  And the LORD spoke unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
21  And, behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve, even the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.`

And so, the tithe unto the Church, the tabernacle, God’s House of Prayer and His Priest and servants unto His House was established. And is done even unto all generations, that the people should tithe, support the House of God, His Priest and servants, and all the works of God through the Church, the Assembly, the people, the Body of Christ.

And what is all the work of God’s House, Priest and servants?

Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)
18  And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
