Stand in the Light of Understanding or the Darkness of Ignorance

The Word Spirit and Truth Stand in the Light of Understanding or the Darkness of Ignorance

John 7:16-19 (KJV)

16  Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.

17  If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

18  He that speaks of himself seeks his own glory: but he that seeks his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

19  Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why go you about to kill me?

John 8:31-36 (KJV)

31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed;

32  And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33  They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how says you, You shall be made free?

34  Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committed sin is the servant of sin.

35  And the servant abides not in the house for ever: but the Son abides ever.

36  If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.

John 8:43-51 (KJV)

43  Why do you not understand my speech? even because you cannot hear my word.

44  You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45  And because I tell you the truth, you believe me not.

46  Which of you convinces me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do you not believe me?

47  He that is of God heareth God’s words: you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God.

48  Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that you art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

49  Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and you do dishonor me.

50  And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeks and judges.

51  Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Matthew 13:10-15 (KJV)

10  And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speak you unto them in parables?

11  He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

12  For whosoever have, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever have not, from him shall be taken away even that he have.

13  Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive:

15  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

John 6:44-45 (KJV)

44  No man can come to me, except the Father which have sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

45  It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that have heard, and have learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
