Redemption of Salvation

Redemption of Salvation
Strong’s 629 Redemption – apolutrosis, ap-ol-tro-sis; from a compound of 575 and 3083; (the act) ransom in full, i.e. (fig.) riddance, or (spec.) Chr. salvation:- 1- deliverance {Lx}, redemption {9x}.
Summary: This word means to be purchased from the slave market of sin, totally set free, (‘; never to sold again. Apolutrosis, as a noun, is a strengthened form of lutrosis (3085), and means lit., “a releasing, for (i.e., on payment of) a ran¬som.” It is used of
(1) “deliverance” from physi¬cal torture (Heb 11:35); and
(2) the deliverance of the tribulation saints at the coming of Christ, with His glorified saints,
(2a) “in a cloud with power and great glory,” (Lk 21:28), a “redemp¬tion” to be accomplished at the “outshining of His Parousia” (2 Th 2:8),
(2b) i.e., at His sec¬ond advent;
(3) It is used of forgiveness and justification,
(3a) “redemption” as the result of propitiation and expiation,
(3b) deliverance from the guilt of sins (Rom 3:24),
(3c) “through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” (Eph 1:7), (3d) defined as “the forgiveness of sins” (cf. Col 1:14)
(3e) indicating both the liberation from the guilt and of sin and the introduction into a life of liberty, “newness of life” (Rom 6:4); and (3£) “for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament,” (Heb 9:15 – here “redemption of” is equivalent to “redemption from,” the genitive case being used of the object from which the “redemption” is effected, not from the consequence of the transgressions, but from the transgressions themselves); (4) It is used of the deliverance of the believer from the presence and power of sin, and of his body from bondage to corruption, at the coming (the Parousia in its inception) of the Lord Jesus (Rom 8:23; d. 1 Cor 1:30; Eph 1:4; 4:30). Syn.: 2434, 2643.
Now let us listen to what God through Christ and the Apostles say;
Luke 21:27-28 (KJV)
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draws nigh.
Romans 3:23-26 (KJV)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
1 Corinthians 1:27-31 (KJV)
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that gloried, let him glory in the Lord.
Ephesians 1:6-7 (KJV)
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Ephesians 1:13-14 (KJV)
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
.Ephesians 4:26-32 (KJV)
.26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: 27 Neither give place to the devil. 28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needed.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Colossians 1:12-20 (KJV)
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: 13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
Hebrews 9:11-15 (KJV)
11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; 12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctified to the purifying of the flesh: 14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
