For there is a difference between the Letter and Spirit of the Word.

For there is a difference between the Letter and Spirit of the Word.

 Many people wrangle about words and the different versions of the Bible. However, we must understand it is the Spirit of the Word that Saves, not the Letter.

With many different versions of the Bible it is an inherent problem with translations. Not everything will translate word for word. Which can lead to misunderstanding as to what is spiritually being said.   Try using the KJV and the Strong’s Enplaned Exhaustive Concordance and Lexicon, then compare the different versions and the meanings of the words in the original language compared to the English. You will then see the truth as God sees it. For there is a difference between the Letter and Spirit of the Word.

Romans 3:19, 20(NKJV)
Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore, by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:5-6(NKJV)
For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.

2 Corinthians 3:4-6(NKJV)
And we have such trust through Christ toward God.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves,
but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

Galatians 3:23-26 (KJV)
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.   But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

So, Brothers and Sisters, let us be careful how we judge Christ who is the Living Word and others who speak His Word as it is written. For warning is given about wrangling over words.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 (KJV)
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;

He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof comes envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:

from such withdraw thyself.

Remembering anything man puts his hand to will usually get messed up somehow. With many versions it is an inherent problem with translations. Not everything will translate word for word.   So, let us be compassionate and understanding of one another. For the sake of our own salvation.

For the Letter of the Word is for the flesh and the Spirit of the Word for the Soul and Eternal Spirit to salvation. AS it is Written;

John 6:63 (AKJV)
63 It is the spirit that quickens (gives life); the flesh profits nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
1 Corinthians 15:50 (AKJV)
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
