For by the lust and desires of the pride of the flesh shall we fall again from Grace like the daughters of Zion

For by the lust and desires of the pride of the flesh shall we fall again from Grace like the daughters of Zion

Brothers and Sisters take the vanity of our flesh, for by it we defile the soul and spirit and the church. Being more concerned with the beauty of the flesh than the eternal soul and spirit. And take heed, for though the scriptures speak of this to the daughters, today the sons have become equally vain in their vanity of their flesh.

Now listen unto the Word of God.

Isaiah 3:16-24 (KJV)
16 Moreover the LORD saith, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes, walking, and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet:

17 Therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and the LORD will discover their secret parts. 18  In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls (hair nets), and their round tires like the moon, 19  The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers, 20  The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings, 21  The rings, and nose jewels, 22  The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins, 23  The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.

24 And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well-set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

Jeremiah 4:30-31 (KJV)
30  And when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou cloth thyself with crimson, though thou deck thee with ornaments of gold, though thou rent thy face with painting, in vain shalt thou make thyself fair; thy lovers will despise thee, they will seek thy life.

31  For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that bewailed herself, that spreads her hands, saying, Woe is me now! for my soul is wearied because of murderers.

And by the Holy Spirit we are given counsel

1 Peter 3:1-7 (KJV)
1  Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
2  While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear.
3  Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
4  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

5  For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:
6  Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

7  Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Now let us take heed the compassion of Christ warning unto all.

Matthew 23:37-39 (KJV)
37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that kills the prophets, and stones them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathered her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

38  Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39  For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
