Why do we seek what we think is the easy way out Instead of following Daniels example

Why do we seek, what we think is, the easy way out? Instead of following Daniels example?

Do we not understand that the way of the Flesh is never the easy way? Do we not understand that God’s desires is to give us every good thing for a good life? And all so we can achieve the Born-Again state of the Indwelling of our Soul and Eternal Spirit?   Now look at the simple choices Daniel made and the blessing that came of those choices.

Daniel 1:7-9, 11-13, 16-21 (KJV)
7  Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar; and to Hananiah, of Shadrach; and to Mishael, of Meshach; and to Azariah, of Abednego. 8  But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself. 9  Now God had brought Daniel into favour and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs.   11  Then said Daniel to Melzar, whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12  Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse (vegetables) to eat, and water to drink. 13  Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king’s meat: and as thou see, deal with thy servants.

16  Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse (vegetables). 17  As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

18  Now at the end of the days that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

19  And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king. 20  And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

21  And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus.

Why can we not have that kind of trust in God and His Christ? For as it is written we are without excuse, when we choose not to follow God and His Christ.

Ecclesiastes 5:4-7 (KJV)
4  When thou vow a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed. 5  Better is it that thou should not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

6  Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
7  For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also diverse vanities:

but fear thou God.

Romans 1:19-21 (KJV)
19  Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Romans 2:1-6 (KJV)
1  Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judges: for wherein thou judges another, thou condemn thyself; for thou that judges does the same things. 2  But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

3  And think thou this, O man, that judges them which do such things, and does the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? 4  Or despise thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads thee to repentance?
5  But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasure up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6  Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

Let us understand that God’s way is the easy way. Even in the middle of the storm. And the way of the Flesh is chaos.
