Do We Understand Born Again?

Do We Understand Born Again?

First let us understand what is at stake if we fail to be Born Again, According to the scriptures.

Jeremiah 34:15-17 (NKJV) Then you recently turned and did what was right in My sight–every man proclaiming liberty to his neighbor; and you made a covenant before Me in the house which is called by My name.

Then you turned around and profaned My name, and every one of you brought back his male and female slaves, whom he had set at liberty, at their pleasure, and brought them back into subjection, to be your male and female slaves.’

“Therefore thus says the LORD: ‘You have not obeyed Me in proclaiming liberty, everyone to his brother and everyone to his neighbor. Behold, I proclaim liberty to you,’ says the LORD–‘to the sword, to pestilence, and to famine! And I will deliver you to trouble among all the kingdoms of the earth.

Now these Words hold true in both the Old and New Testaments. And will be the reward of the wicked.

Now let us remember in both Testaments a sacrifice is required of each person for salvation. The Old Testament the sacrifice was through the flesh and blood of animals. The New Testament Christ is the blood sacrifice, but we are required to sacrifice the flesh as written.

Romans 12:1-2 (NKJV) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Now let us look at the difference between the Old and New Testaments as to salvation. The Old Testament by the Letter of the Word and the New Testament by the Spirit of the Word.

Romans 2:28-29 (KJV) For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Romans 3:19-20 (KJV) Now we know that what things so ever the law said, it said to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 7:5-6 (KJV) For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. 2 Corinthians 3:3-6 (KJV) Forasmuch as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

And such trust have we through Christ toward God: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit giveth life.

Now having considered these Words of God, and understanding God retains the only right to declare any man righteous, Born Again.

For it is by God’s declaration and not our own, we are saved, Born Again as it is written;

Romans 1:4-6 (KJV) And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are you also the called of Jesus Christ:

Romans 4:13-16 (NKJV) For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

For if those who are of the law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise made of no effect, because the law brings about wrath; for where there is no law there is no transgression.

Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

So by these Words we shall know we called righteous by God and Born Again, According to the Word Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1 John 3:9-11 (NKJV) Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another,
And what does God consider sin? Use these words to judge ourselves, and see if God calls us Born Again.

Romans 1:28-32 (NKJV) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful;

who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
