Are we still in need of parables?

The Word Spirit and Truth. Are we still in need of parables?

Matthew 13:10-15 (KJV) 10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speaks you unto them in parables? 11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 12 For whosoever have, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever have not, from him shall be taken away even that he have. 13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of (Isaiah)Esaias, which said, By hearing you shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing you shall see, and shall not perceive: 15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

1 Corinthians 2:9-16 (KJV) 9 But as it is written, Eye have not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God have prepared for them that love him. 10 But God have revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knows the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knows no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Ghost teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who have known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

John 16:23-27 (KJV) 23 And in that day you shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full. 25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. 26 At that day you shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: 27 For the Father himself loveth you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

Brothers and Sisters, do we really need to be spoken to in parables, still? As it is written, if we are His, Born Again, He speaks to us plainly through the Holy Spirit and His Indwelling. And we will hear him speak, when we are Born Again and listening for Him.

So if we are not hearing the Holy Spirit speaking unto us. Telling us what to do and where to go. Then we must ask ourselves, are we truly Born Again, are we Indwelled with His Holy Spirit? Let us make sure our salvation. For it is written;

Romans 8:8-11 KJV 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwells in you.
